A Medical Education Conference designed for Clinical Teaching Fellows
Dr Sam Chumbley
Hello! I am the Director of TICC 2025, which is off the back of planning and hosting TICC 2024 in a hardworking team of two last academic year. The talented and enthusiastic committee of TICC 2025 are a welcome sight to help bring the expanded conference to the national cohort of CTFs! My TICC responsibilities are balanced alongside my work as an Academy Clinical Teaching Coordinator (also known as “Lead CTF”) at the University of Bristol, and my GP training in the Severn Deanery.
My passion for medical education grew over my years at Exeter medical school. This culminated in me intercalating in Medical Education, which aided me in becoming an Honorary Lecturer at Hull York Medical School in my Foundation Years, and then a Clinical Teaching Fellow affiliated with University of Bristol. In turn, this allowed me to establish an amazing part-time role at Bristol Medical School that I could undertake alongside my less than full time GP training.
I feel so lucky to get to balance medical education alongside my clinical training, but it does leave my calendar quite full, meaning I can no longer commit to my work as a Supporting Artist in House of the Dragon, The Witcher and other fantasy shows that value men with long hair!
